Bill Stein Airshows

billstein.jpgBill Stein will be making his second appearance at the Chicago Air & Water Show in his Zivko Edge 540. This will be Stein's first solo performance here in Chicago. Airshow fans may recall that Bill Stein was a member of the famous Red Baron Stearman Squadron that used to be a regular act at the Chicago Air & Water Show before it was disbanded.

Stein shared with us what he loves about the Chicago Air & Water Show "I think there are many things that make the show special. First of all, it is one of the biggest shows anywhere! When you look down at the crowds on the lakefront for the first time you almost have to think to yourself 'there really are a few million people down there!' The crowd is always appreciative and fun to fly for. Also, the venue is one of the most beautiful."

Bill brings something unique to the show, an aircraft that uses cutting edge paint technology that allows the plane to continuously change colors based on varying angles between his aircraft and the spectators. Though, airshow attendees will get more than a pretty plane to look at. Stein's performance in the Zivko Edge 540 will make viewers think "an airplane isn't supposed to be able to do that". He has called his aircraft the "Tumble Machine" for the end-over-end maneuvers that thrill the crowds.

Be sure not to miss this act at the Chicago Air & Water Show.
